We have teams in all age groups and our head coach is a former Professional player assisted by various educators. We have had a few teams taking Regional and National titles.
Sports at Destiny
We compete against other ACE / Private schools on a Local, Regional and National basis. We promote all the major sports and have teams in:
We have four age groups competing in Volley Ball competitions.
Athletics:
We compete with other schools on Local, Regional and National platforms. We have had Regional and National champions in the past.
NetBall:
We have active teams in most of the age groups.
Swimming:
We have competed very successfully in Local, Regional and National galas. Our qualified (certificated) trainer will also give swimming lessons to young ones and babies from January 2017.
Table Tennis:
We have teams in the older age groups and currently have a 2014 National U 17 champ and a Silver medallist in the 2014 National U 19 age group.
Seven of our players were chosen to represent Gauteng at the National Championship in November 2015 held in Ermelo. One of our U19 player, won the championship and was rewarded a trophy and a gold medal. Our players earned a further 3 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal.
Chess:
We do compete in Local Regional and National Chess competitions in various age groups.
We started with Seven-a-Side rugby in 2016 as well as Mini-Cricket.
Our Cross-Fitness Centre is now in use.
We do our physical training classes in the centre once a week and the centre is open for students to use after normal school hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until 15h00.
